 n Sunday - March 31\, 2024\, we invite you to join us for a Traditional Uk
 rainian Easter Celebration with Hayivky - Гаївки - a colorful compon
 ent of Ukraine’s heritage and folklore.\n The absolute highlight of the
  event will be Ukrainian folk spring songs\, dances and games.\n We encou
 rage you to wear vyshyvankas or to dress up in Ukrainian national costume 
 if you have one.\nWhy Гаївки (Hayivky) tradition is so important rig
 ht now?\nIn Soviet time the tradition began to disappear after the Revolut
 ion of 1917 and was completely gone by the end of the Famine-Genocide of 1
 932–1933. In Ukraine today they are only sung in the specific regions by
  professional and amateur ensembles.\nThe natural flow of Hayivky traditio
 n has been deliberately destroyed back then and now we are living through 
 the time when Russia once again is destroying our culture\, our heritage\,
  our land\, and our people!\nUkrainian libraries that are full of books\, 
 museums full of our history\, schools\, theaters\, and anything that culti
 vates Ukrainian tradition is being bombed\, burned down\, and left in ashe
 s.\nRussian policy has remained the same with regard to Ukrainian cultural
  heritage and the nation as a whole - to destroy\, to wipe off from the fa
 ce of the earth.\nIn the twentieth-century Ukrainian Diaspora saved and pr
 eserved some of the most unique Ukrainian traditions.\nNow we have the pri
 vilege to revive\, follow\, spread\, and teach our traditions in peaceful 
 America.\n Please come and join us to celebrate the most hopeful holiday 
 - Easter and to revive the ancient Ukrainian tradition of Hayivky. \n....

 їнців зберігати свої традиції.\nЗапрошує

  Великодні Гаївки — колоритна складова 
 спадщини та фольклору України.\nХто вже б
 ув\, той точно захоче прийти ще раз. А хто 
 не був — має нагоду на власні очі поспос
 терігати\, які танки водили\, які пісні сп
 івали та які ігри грали в давнину.\nЦього 
 року\, як і минулого\, гаївки відбудуться 
 на подвір’ї Церкви Христа Царя\, відразу
  після Великодньої Служби та освяти коши
 ків\, орієнтовно о 12-ій годині.\n Неодмінн
